| The iYear Foundation was founded on July 4th 2008 in New York City. We provide resources to support citizen-driven campaigns that contribute to the cause of open government. We use our engagement with those campaigns to build the next generation of web tools and organizational strategies that future citizen campaigns will need. Thus, instead of raising money to fund projects, we support projects that attract money. We call this an inverse foundation. |
